PCL Group, a global provider of IT and cybersecurity services headquartered in Aberdeen, has been awarded the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, the latest international standard for information security management.
This achievement places the company among a select group of IT firms in the region to meet these rigorous standards.
The certification follows a year-long process in collaboration with DNV, a leading independent certification body, and covers PCL Group’s tailored IT services and Managed Security Detection & Response (MDR) offerings across all business sectors worldwide.
As a custodian of sensitive customer data globally, PCL Group’s new certification reassures clients that it has implemented a structured Information Security Management System (ISMS) to securely manage and protect critical business information against evolving cyber threats.
This milestone builds on the company’s recent decision to upgrade and recertify its ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems certification at the end of 2025, reflecting its commitment to meeting the highest supplier best practice standards.
In addition to these certifications, PCL Group has invested in developing affordable cybersecurity services tailored specifically for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), responding to the increasing sophistication and frequency of cyberattacks, often driven by advances in AI technology.
Jeanette Forbes, CEO of PCL Group, said:
With 26 years in business, we are dedicated to continually improving our service delivery and providing certified reassurance across all our IT managed services and cyber support. Achieving this certification is a voluntary step that aligns with our growth plans both locally and internationally.
Andy Wilson, UK Country Manager and Director for Business Assurance at DNV, added:
PCL Group’s achievement of ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certifications demonstrates their commitment to operational excellence and protecting information assets. We congratulate the team on this significant accomplishment.
